Long Afternoon, Marvelous Evening.

As I mentioned earlier, Lauren and I went on a tour of downtown. Wow. Thats all I can say. Masses of people lined the streets like hundreds of thousands of heads of cattle milling throughout shops and monuments and street vendors. In Dallas you have to leave early to make it where you need to be on time because of traffic. In London you have to leave early because the sidewalks are jammed with bodies of people from all over the world. They say, and I believe it now, that you can stand on a corner and hear 300 different languages. This city feels to me like a city full of lost souls. Everyone mingles in and out of every doorway of this town, from train station to train station, restaurant to restaurant with no connection to the thousands of people within talking distance. This place is amazing on so many levels.

As far as our afternoon goes, we wore the soles off of our shoes walking mile after mile. We saw the Tower of London and the House of Parliament. Two of the most beautiful monuments I have ever seen. We walked across the River Thames which is where the Eye of London is strategically placed. The heart of the city brings tourists and locals alike to some of the best shopping, music, restaurants, and theaters in the world. I can't wait to ride the Eye of London tomorrow after church at St. Pauls Cathedral. Yes we will be attending the service tomorrow at St. Pauls Cathedral.

After we walked what seemed like from Wichita Falls to Bowie, we ate at the Texas Embassy which boast its' TexMex theme from enchiladas to burritos to key lime pie. They even have Lone Star beer, imported straight from Texas! It was nice to have some food that tasted a little more like home, but we Texans still know how to make Mexican food better. Everyone else that tries to imitate our flavors just ends up with a concoction of TexMex with a twist. (for the worst)

And now for my absolute most favorite part of the night, and trip to date for that matter, WE SAW JERSEY BOYS! It was an awesome musical that told to story of the band Four Seasons. The music was fabulous and the acting was awesome. If you ever have the chance to see it, it's a must see musical!

To wrap the night up, Lauren got a white chocolate toffee gelato from a local vendor that was amazing. It was a soft, creamy and light with excellent flavor. This has been an awesome day and hopefully we still have many more to come!

Until tomorrow, you all have a nice evening!
